Dr. Jonathan Hoffman Bio:

Dr. Hoffman is a program manager in the DARPA Microsystems Technology Office. His research interests include quantum sensing, PNT, optics, and photonics. Hoffman received a BA in mathematics and physics from Boston University with summa cum laude distinction. He received a PhD in physics from University of Maryland, College Park.

Paul Prucnal Bio:

Paul Prucnal is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University. He is co-author of the book, Neuromorphic Photonics, and is a Life Fellow of the IEEE, and Fellow of Optica and the National Academy of Inventors. He was the recipient of Princeton‘s President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching.

Talk Title: The Power of Digital Signal Processing for Coherent Optical Communication and Sensing

Roland Ryf Bio:

Roland Ryf is a fellow at Nokia Bell Labs, NJ where he has been working on MEMS based large port-count optical cross-connect switches, high-resolution optical wavelength filters, multimode components and optical amplifiers, and numerous first experimental demonstrations of long-distance high-capacity space-division multiplexed transmission over multimode fibers and coupled-core multicore fibers.
